Acting for several Lloyd’s market insurers and their German co-insurer in a jewellers block policy dispute relating to an alleged EUR 1 million loss suffered at premises. We advised on coverage, security measures, compliance with conditions precedent, misrepresentations and gross negligence and accordingly declined the loss. We handled mediation proceedings, and successfully resolved the matter by a very favourable settlement, which was 10% of the value of the claim.
